Guess Right:
If you correctly predict where the pitch will go, your PCI (Plate Coverage Indicator) expands, making it easier to MLB The Show 25 Stubs make contact with the ball. Additionally, you'll get a larger timing window for your swing, giving you a better chance to land a solid hit.
Guess Wrong:
If you guess incorrectly, your PCI will shrink, making it much more difficult to make good contact. Essentially, the guess becomes a gamble, and getting it wrong will add an extra layer of difficulty to the at-bat.
The key to ambush hitting is understanding when to take the risk and when to play it safe, especially as the game progresses.
How To Ambush a Hit
Step into the Batter's Box:
As you enter the batter's box, you'll be presented with the opportunity to make a guess: inside or outside.
Make Your Guess:
Use the Right Stick to flick in the direction you think the pitch will go. When you choose a side, it will be highlighted faintly in white on your screen.
Position Your PCI:
Once you've made your guess, place your PCI on that side of the plate where you think the pitch is coming.
Swing: When the pitcher releases the ball, press the swing button at the right moment. If your prediction was correct, your expanded PCI will give you a better chance at buy MLB The Show 25 Stubs landing a solid contact.
