1. Zone Hitting (Recommended for Most Players)

How It Works: You control the Plate Coverage Indicator (PCI) with the left stick to match the ball’s location, then swing using your chosen swing type.

Pros:

Maximum control over contact point.

Most accurate and rewarding for skilled players.

Allows you to tailor swings for different pitch locations.

Cons:

Steeper learning curve.

Requires strong hand–eye coordination.

Best For: Players who want competitive consistency, higher averages, and better power potential.

2. Directional Hitting

How It Works: You influence the swing direction (pull, push, or up the middle) with the left stick, while timing your swing. The PCI moves automatically based on ratings.

Pros:

Easier for new players to make solid contact.

Less focus on fine-tuning PCI movement.

Cons:

Less precise than Zone Hitting.

Harder to consistently hit for power or pull specific pitches.

Best For: Casual players or those focusing on franchise or buy MLB Stubs Road to the Show without needing max precision.
